On 9 and 10 September 2021, AREPO took part in the MOVING’s Steering Committee meeting.
One year after its official kick-off, partners met virtually to discuss the current status and progress of the project.
Particularly, day one has been dedicated to the work carried out so far by Work Packages leaders and the next steps. The European Commission participated as well in the discussion thanks to the presentations of Alexia Rouby (Policy Officer) and Pilar Vizcaíno (Project Officer).
On the second day, an internal meeting on coordination of the work was held, providing insights on financial aspects and a specific session dedicated to the 23 regional Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs).

MOVING (MOuntain Valorization through INterconnectedness and Green growth) is a project funded with € 6 million from the Horizon 2020 programme, and coordinated by the University of Córdoba (Spain).
It aims to create the necessary capacities at the local and institutional level to co-design the policy framework that allows the development of value chains that guarantee the sustainability and resilience of mountain areas. It will be done in a bottom-up participatory process with value chain actors, regional and European stakeholders and policy-makers.
